I tried Eagle's Pizza years ago and remember it being better. The sauce tasted like tomato paste with no added seasoning. The dough was tasteless as well. It reminded me of school cafeteria pizza, but I think that is actually better than this. We are sticking with Zero's.

10/17/11 Cheap pizza. cramped tables. is place is living proof that any pizza is good. I would try the Mellow Mushroom on Polaris. it would be worth the trip.

I have been going to Eagles for 20+ years. Great pizza. Also try the garlic cheese bread!

Pizza is good bordering great. Pizza was hot with good ingredients. They had the largest container of parmesan cheese I have ever see which wasn't clogged which is always a bonus. Speed of service was good but they have square slices :-(. The atmosphere was classic, brick walls, cozy, lots of neat Ohio memorabilia and BOOTHS! The music (Madonna) was just ok. It got better as the evening went on. Lot's of good pizza for the money. Bathrooms were clean.

Yum, Eagle's Pizza gives Donato's a run for its money. Thin crust that is heavy with flavor this neighborhood place should be worldwide. Eagles is decked out in TV sitcom pizza parlor splendor. Its the type of place you go into and expect to see the staff wearing those white cornered hats and hats and aprons. Except its New Albany so the hats would probably be designed by Wexner. Still the place has a good vibe and the pies are terrific. I am boring so I opt for pepperoni and cheese every time. The peps curl up on the pizza making little lilly pads of spicy-ness. My brothers can house an entire "All the Way" pizza in under ten minutes, which while gross, goes to show how good it is. The Taco pizza is pretty good too, as is the Hawiian. For opinion's sake, my brother's do not like the sausage at Eagle's because it is ground. But my two cents say it is a-ok. You don't have to order menu only here as Eagle's is supportive of letting you make your own. Ending on on cheesey note, drop by Eagle's Pizza and get your eagle on.

Eagles pizza is one of my favorite spots and they now accept credit cards! Went this past Saturday around 530 pm. I ordered a half cheese/half pepperoni however apparently it was too loud because the server thought I said just pepperoni. .was kinda bummed about that. Ordered a pint salad with Italian dressing and I was so disappointed! Only came with shredded lettuce, a pile of cheese and 1 pepperoni, 1 olive and 1 banana pepper. I thought it was a joke...nope, definitely wasn't. This was the most horrific salad I have ever received from a pizza place! When I went up to the counter and asked for additional pepperoni, olives and banana peppers the server obviously wasn't supposed to get it for me as she asked me to keep it shhhh and came back with a bowl of banana peppers. ...The look on my face, priceless. Eagle pizza- your italian salad is horrible and should be taken off the menu. So disappointed! Pizza was okay today. Could have been cooked a few more minutes and really would have liked to have my half cheese. Disappointed and won't be back for a while. Step up your salad game, please! Lord have mercy!

Eagles Pizza is a New Albany classic. No frills just good pizza and quick service. Every time I order a pizza over the phone no matter how busy they are they say my order will be ready in 15 minutes. I head over and it's always ready on time as promised.

I used to think this place was good pizza....that was almost 20 years ago, now I find it to be overly greasy and pretty bland. It's got a great location and the building is cool but there are far better pizza places around or heck even good old frozen Red Baron tops this option.

Love Eagles - get the thick crust. Pep and mushroom is killer. Great family place. CASH ONLY!

  • Marissa D.

This pizza is by far the best in the area! make sure to get the thick crust/deep dish, it's amazing! The large salad is huge so if there is only 2 people dining you could definitely get away with a small. We get the "everything" toppings, it is literally like it says e v e r y t h i n g ! Staff is very friendly and dining room is very cute and clean!

I tried Eagle's Pizza for the first time tonight after I read some good reviews. I ordered two pizzas, neither of which contained anchovies. Both pizzas, however, tasted like anchovies. There was definitely some cross contamination or poor dish washing to blame, but the error was really unacceptable. A Hawaiian pizza should not taste like fish. I won't be coming back to Eagle's Pizza. Response to Dirk's comment: According to your menu, you offer anchovies, so that's why I assumed the strange, fish-like taste of the crust on my fish-free cheese and Hawaiian pizzas came from anchovies and not some other, more serious issue at your restaurant. Regardless of the cause of this problem, your poor customer service has ensured that I will not return to Eagles Pizza.

Great local pizza joint. They opened early for OSU v Michigan Saturday and got our large order done on time. The staff was friendly. It's a thin crust style, cut in squares. Taco pizza is awesome and comes in triangle slices. The taco sauce they give you adds a spicy kick. Try a pepperoni with extra cheese and well done. The cheese will be browned and crust nice and crispy. Definitely worth a try and one our favs in New Albany. Also be warned it's cash only.

I live in Las Vegas and have yet to find a taco pizza like Eagle's. I get random cravings for it and hate that it's 2000 miles away! I grew up a few miles down the road from this little gem, and my family has been going here for over 15 years. Every time I visit the family, it's always a must have for me!

Food was great. We got the kickin' chicken. Pretty reasonably priced. The eating area was cool.

LOVE this place! Their pizzas are a killer deal! We usually have to order 2 pizzas to feed our family. When we order 2 from Eagles, we always get stuffed and still have some left over! Love their crispy thin crust, and they always pile on the toppings. It's 'no frills' which keeps the prices low. No delivery, cash/check only....I'm happy to drive over and pay cash for my yummy pizza in the plain white box! And unlike a lot of NA locations, they have plenty of parking! Skip the delivery charge of other places, it's worth it!

Old-school small-town pizza joint. Cash only, order at the counter, historic building, local history on the walls. Very friendly, pleasant service. Taco pizza wasn't the best I've ever had and far from unique, but was quite good. For local charm in a family-friendly environment, this place is hard to beat.

I love the taco pizza, sausage and peperroni, and BBQ chicken. Now that they take credit card I no longer can complain about having to take cash. This place is awesome.

  • Jake K.

Great pizza. The sausage is my favorite. The only thing keeping them from a five is the seating is pretty cramped also not taking credit or debt in 2014 is pretty ridiculous.

Best pizza in town... try the pep & saus pizza. Crust and ingredients seem homemade & always fresh. Sure, no delivery & no plastic, but I know a few places back home still like that. Its a shock for first-timers, but it's worth the inconvenience. UPDATE: They take credit cards now. And still have great pizza & wings!

I have no idea why people brag about this place... finally went and was disappointed. .. no menus..had to use billboard even though we had dine in.... no credit card..cash only..... No real silverware=Joke... plastic forks and plates.... so cheap... pizza was average at best... I've had better with papa johns... wont be heading back again ever...

The absolute best pizza in the area!!! Love the taco pizza, fries, meatballs, and everything else on the menu. They don't deliver or accept debit/credit cards , but I will take an extremely tasty pizza that I have to drive out of the way for over a subpar delivered pizza from a chain place. Friendly staff. Nice family atmosphere. Good prices. You just have to try it!

I have heard about this place for a number of years and never stopped by. My son and I ended up here because 62 BBQ sold out of food by 6:30. So, we decided to try Eagles legendary pizza. Boy am I glad we did. The pepperoni and onion was as good as any i have had.

A friend of mine has been telling me to try Eagles for a few months now. We both have an affinity for all things pizza. Last night I finally decided that it was time to quit letting the 15 minute drive dissuade me from going. So while out running a few errands, I ordered one pizza with sausage and pepperoni (recommended by my friend) and another with extra cheese and mushrooms. This may sound like a lot of pizza for one person and it is. Believe me. But I have a "roommate" and we like leftovers. This is a judgement-free zone, ok? At any rate, I paid for and collected the goods from a very nice woman at the register and was on my merry way. I drove home trying to ignore the pizza aromas filling my car until I was finally home and ready to dig in. The crust is thin and ever so crispy. Not thin and crackery. Yeah, I just made that word up. They do not skimp on the toppings and the edge of the pizza had that almost-burnt (crisp) cheese, which is my favorite part. Allow me to call out the sausage on that specific pizza. I was expecting an the sausage to be nothing but fennel seeds which just so happens to be one of my least favorite flavors. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this not the case! Just a good old fashioned, well-seasoned sausage. And the price? No complaints here. I think it's reasonable and worth every penny. They work some magic in that kitchen and I was not disappointed. In fact, in my humble opinion, I can confidently say that this place is THE best pizza joint I've been to. I will definitely be back; probably ordering enough pizza to feed 2 families. I am not ashamed! This place is legit.

After going gluten free with our family in January 2015, we've been looking for a good gluten free pizza. From what we've found the offerings are fare to mediocre... with the occasional good pizza here or there. Just tried Eagles gluten free pizza and it's FANTASTIC! Highly recommended whether you're gluten free or not!

Since Christmas, they have begun to accept credit cards. You no longer have to use the ATM, or paper checks.

  • Michael B.

I have been here several times for lunch. I always get the pizza which is great. The crust is thin but not cracker thin. The sauce has a bold flavor and they have never been lite on the toppings. The service is always friendly. Don't expect anything fancy. They use paper plates to give you an idea of the atmosphere. They are now taking credit cards which makes it nice to see. I always get a couple of cookies on the way out. I think this is just a nice family owned restaurant that is prefect for a low key pizza joint that the whole family can enjoy.

  • Mindy R.

Best pizza in town! But remember to hit the ATM as they only take cash. Baked spaghetti and subs are great, but get what you came for: pizza! Great for families with kids and kids' sports teams. Bring the leftovers in your lunch the next day and make everyone jealous ;)

The following is my own review from Tripadvisor. Same place, same author, and consistently the same experience. I saw no need to compose a second review. This is what pizza in a small town was before national pizza chains saturated the landscape. 40 years of practice gives their pizza a wonderfully unique taste, without the unnecessary frills and snobbery of some other restaurants closer to the city. Locally-acquired antiques and other nostalgia decorate the dining room. There are upwards of a dozen local teens are on the job every time we walk in, probably even more than are really needed to run a small pizza shop. Clearly this is a business that is dedicated to and invested in the community, and it pleases me to see that the community returns the favor by filling the parking lot every weekend night. They don't accept credit/debit cards, they don't deliver, and you'll eat your pizza on styrofoam plates if you opt to dine in. But you'll get an outstanding pizza large enough to feed 4 people for well under $20 ($17 for a large 2-item & a side of fried mushrooms by our experience.) They started accepting credit/debit cards sometime in 2014, I was a little slow in updating my review.

The pizza is the best in the New Albany area, the price is on par with any chain pizzeria. They don't deliver and only take cash, but they have an ATM with a $1 surcharge if you forget your card. At least it isn't $3 or more like some. I would definitely recommend it.

  • Katie H.

The food is always good here. They never mess up and the workers are always wonderful and polite. I recommend that you get the barbecue chicken, because it's a meat pizza and so delicious.

  • Justin J.

It's simple. This place is delicious. The pizza is not to greasy and the crust isn't burnt to a point where the pizza itself tastes awful. I only had their pepperoni pizza, but I am sure that the others are just as good. I will definitely make my way back to this place when I am back in the area. Well done.

  • Keith B.

Had a few pizza with guys from work - cash only! For the several people showing up, the service was good, but the room was freezing. The price wasn't bad (I think we paid $5 each and had plenty of pizza to go around) and the pizza was tasty. By no means is it my favorite pizza - but when you're in a crunch, you want some good, cheap food, it's so damn close to work (and so reasonably priced) it's hard to say no.

One reviewer said the ingredients are fresh. They use canned mushrooms on their pizzas. YUCK! If they can't buy freshly sliced mushrooms, nothing else is fresh either.

Not impressed. Tasteless and kinda pricey. Won't go back.

I suggested meeting here with friends. We had visited a year ago and had a good experience. Food was good. Cash only which is, in this day & age, unacceptable. I appreciate a clean eating area, but it is ridiculous and disgusting when the person busing the table next to mine sprays cleaner on my arm (felt more than a spritz) and I assume my pizza which was right next to my arm. Yuck! Really? I should have said something, but I did not want to create a scene. I typically do not complain, I usually just do not return. If they are spraying cleaner on the customers in the dining area how careful are they with the food during perpetration?

Good prices for Good Food. Just wish they took Credit/Debit cards. Amazing in New Albany that they do not. Who carries cash anymore?

We are from the north end of Columbus, we were an old fan of pizza house, they have changed something and it's not as good. And there's really not a good pizza place in the north end anymore. I found eagles when I was working in the New Albany area. This is as good as it gets, love their pep with mushrooms xtra cheese. I think I'll have one for dinner tonight.

  • Karlie H.

I love the pizza here...good quality toppings and thin crust. They don't accept debit/credit cards, which is definitely inconvenient, but I'm still a fan. They pile a lot of toppings on the pizzas too.

Love the taco pizza. Meatball sub is also a winner and so glad they now accept cards.

Eagles is losing a star from me now that I've tried an eating in experience. We went the other night and my husband ordered pizza bread, while I ordered the baked spaghetti. When my order came out the spaghetti was hot on the outside but cold to the touch in the middle. It was just plain gross. I spoke with the waitress (who was incredibly friendly) and she took it back and promised to bring me out some spaghetti, since I figured another baked spaghetti would take too long. Several more times the waitress stopped by to assure me that the spaghetti was almost done and to apologize it was taking so long. Fast forward 20 minutes, and my husband is finished with his food, our toddler son is far past done sitting at the table, and only then did my spaghetti arrive. And it was cold! The sauce was cold and the noodles were cold. I ate one bite, we left, and we won't be back.

Eagle's is a nice little pizzeria located in "downtown" New Albany. Even though it's located Central Ohio's wealthiest suburb, the Pizza is usually cheaper than most of the local pizza places. The pizza itself is pretty good. It's not my favorite and the consistency can sometimes vary, but I really like the atmosphere. It's a great place to go with friends or family and have a nice dinner.

    (4)
  • Trent S.

My favorite pizza! Try the sausage. They ground it up which makes it even better in my book. Yes, they only take cash or check but that probably helps keep prices low. Seating can be an issue at peak times. You've got to at least try this place!
